Why book your equipment in advance?
Booking online lets you compare categories, saves time when you arrive and improves your chances of getting the sizes you need. It is particularly useful during the school holidays.
Which package should you choose?
Beginner
Forgiving skis that turn easily are better than high-performance but demanding models.
Intermediate
All-round skis are ideal for exploring groomed runs and progressing on different terrain.
Advanced
It depends on your plans: piste, all-mountain, freeride or ski touring. Explain clearly to the hire shop how you ski.
Boots: the most important part
Painful boots can ruin a day. Take the time to try them on with a ski sock. Your heel should be held firmly without being squeezed.
Kitting out the children
Give their exact height and weight so the bindings can be set correctly. A helmet is strongly recommended. Also check that their poles aren't too long.
Getting organised from Chalet Jepima
Collecting your equipment the day before your first day means a much calmer start. The apartment has two ski lockers, which makes storage easy throughout your stay.
